​Kjyla Johnson

Kjyla Johnson is a proud Gamilaroi woman and dedicated community member with a
strong commitment to supporting and empowering Aboriginal people, families and
culture. She has been affiliated to Yula-Punaal for more than 20 years and is
honoured to now serve as Secretary of the organisation.

Through strong communication, organisation and cultural connection, Kjyla is
committed to creating positive outcomes for community. She has experience working
alongside members of the Stolen Generations and understands the importance of
culturally safe, respectful and supportive spaces for healing, connection and
belonging.

She is passionate about ensuring Elders, families and future generations feel heard,
valued and supported, and is proud to work alongside others who are strengthening
culture, community and positive change for Aboriginal people.
