Cultural Education
Being independent Aboriginal landowners with a 50-acre property on Awabakal country, Yula-Punaal have the capacity to offer an “on-Country” experience.

This has been a popular initiative due to its location and cultural significance.
​
Through a partnership with Dhinewan Mentoring and local schools, we are regularly booked out to cater for this program and benefits gained support the organisations additional activities.

Cultural Camps
Cultural Camps & Leadership programs on the Yula-Punaal property provides Aboriginal people the opportunity to come and stay in a Cultural safe environment with the guidance of our Aboriginal Elders to learn Aboriginal arts, crafts, weaving, bushtucker, song, dance and dreamtime stories.

This is only possible with funding from Government and Non-Government Organisations. These programs have been supported and funded by Aboriginal Affairs NSW, several Government and non-Government agencies over the years.
A component of these camps is to then facilitate art, craft and dance workshops at community events and festivals show casing local Aboriginal talents and also for our Aboriginal women and youth to participate in Aboriginal ceremonies e.g. Welcome to Country and opening and closing ceremonies at forums/events.

During your stay, guest will be surrounded by the beautiful and natural environment of Yula-Punaal sanctuary, whilst being immersed in a traditional environment and surroundings and cultural practices and activities.
